In 2018, Audi released the idea of a fully electric super car. That idea is now becoming a reality. The Audi PB18 has been confirmed for production and the luxury brand will create only 50 of them. This PB18 e-Tron concept design was first debuted at Pebble Beach, where onlooker boasted about its competitive performance standards.

What You Need to Know About the New Audi PB18

The first thing you may be wondering is how Audi plans to create a true performance from an electric vehicle. Well, that's simple! They've designed this supercar with three seperate engines. There is one for the front wheels and two seperate engines for each of the rear wheels.

The front wheels receive about 201 horsepower from its single engine while the rear engines have the potential to produce about 469 horsepower. In total, the Audi PB18 can produce about 670 horsepower. There is an option for a short boost to 764 horsepower.

The style of the new Audi electric supercar is nothing to scoff at. It has an aerodynamic design is engineered to cut through the air and drop the jaws of onlookers everywhere. It is rumoured that this Audi will be replacing the coveted Audi R8 but there are no confirmations yet. Folks are still unsure when the Audi PB18 will arrive at dealerships but hopes circle around late 2020. Until then, we will have to wait to hear more from Audi!
